Writing Signatures

I'm not talking about writing your name in cursive. I'm talking about things that can always be identified in your writing. I think all writers have at least one. Well, in my hero Dean Koontz's case there are several. LOL. You can always find a Dog (Many times a Golden Retriever), A Ford Explorer, The state of California, or someone Catholic. I just joked on my Facebook page that it has been raining 4 straight days in Alabama, we are officially trapped in one of my books. I've always loved the rain. It has always been so peaceful and beautiful to me. Every one of my books has had at least one scene where it was raining with the exception of "Snowy Pines" in which case it was snowing. I guess one other signature for me is my protagonists are usually Baptists like me. I think those are my two major ones, unless you count that in nearly every one of my books a bad guy gets punched or kicked in the crotch. LOL

My Health

I know many of you are probably sick of hearing me say I have Health Problems, but I wanted to go into more detail. I have what is called Hypogonadism. This is a condition in which the brain quits producing testosterone. I just turned 35 , but the problem originated likely in my early 30s. This is rare for someone my age, but not unheard of. This usually occurs in men in later ages in life like their 40s or 50s. No clue as to what caused it. I have very little energy of a day and sometimes the smallest tasks can make my heart run away. I also have trouble sleeping, even though I do it a lot, I don't get very good quality sleep..I need a 2 to 3 hour nap many days. I do take a testosterone shot once every two weeks, but this isn't a magic fix and sometimes only keeps me awake more. My average day is spent on the couch marketing on social media and watching youtube as a break in between.

Is 99 cents not just as good as free?

I don't know how many writers are reading this, but if any are I'm sure they will understand the subject. I have 5 books published as most of you know. The Preacher, The Bone Spirit and Artemis are $2.99 on Kindle. However I have 2 shorter works, Accents Of Horror and Snowy Pines that are only 99 cents on Kindle. Recently I've begun doing fee book promotions and they really do help. They help your algorithm and make it more likely your books will be seen and it gets me more pages read with Kindle unlimited. But, the thing that amazes me is how many copies get downloaded for free. I believe one book promotion I did for Snowy Pines ended up with over 800 copies downloaded. Is there really THAT big of a difference in a book for Free or just 99 cents? I mean, I'm not saying that just as a writer, but as a reader. I've never seen anything I was interested in where I was like "Boy, that looks good, but it's a whole dollar. I might get it if it's free." I

Dead Blog

Okay, I've really let this thing go down Hill. What time I'm actually feeling well, I'm marketing on Twitter and other places. It came to the point where I hardly bothered posting anything here unless it was a new Video or New Book related News. But, looking back in the beginning I posted about all kinds of Subjects and I'm going to try to get back to that again. Thank you everyone for your patience.
